Could the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) Age be over?
Every one has heard of a home with no power bill, the next step is the
home with no no fuel bills!!!
Research is showing that within 10 years nearly every family will own
at least one EV. Once you drive a production EV there is no going
back, they are exciting to drive, you will not miss the noise and
smell of petrol cars! It makes a petrol car seem like ancient
technology.
The electric motor is about 90-95% efficient compared with the
internal combustion engine which is around 20% efficient. Electric
cars will also gain extra efficiency in city driving from not wasting
energy whilst idling and regenerative braking: when braking motor
spins backwards it uses kinetic energy to charge the batteries.
We would need to boost our current grid capacity by only 10% to enable
everyone to switch from fossil fuels to electric. If you were to group
this with improving energy efficiency, a PV solar array or wind
turbine, you could become a zero emissions household or business!

Believe it or not, electric vehicles have been around for a very long
time. In the early 1900s, there were more electric vehicles than there
were internal combustion. At one time there were more than 50,000 of
them on the road in the United States.
As the globe shifts towards a cleaner and greener existence the use of
electric cars could help reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by up
to 30%
